Phantom X20
Product Description
The X20-Phantom is a quad 2.5 Gbps transceiver
for bi-directional optical data communications
over multimode ribbon fiber links up to 600 m.
The transceiver performs the
electrical-to-optical and optical-to-electrical
conversions for parallel optic data transmission
and has four transmit channels and four receiver
channels operating over 8 independent fibers
within a single cable.
Designed for harsh environment applications such
as military avionics and satellites, the
X20-Phantom operates through an extended
temperature range as well as thermal cycling,
shock, vibration, humidity, salt fog and
radiation. |

The X20-Phantom mounts to a PCB
with standard 0.5 mm pitch gull-wing leads. It features
a pigtailed ribbon fiber interface with a male MTP
connector. Custom pigtail configurations are available.
Built-in test (BIT) and diagnostic monitoring is
accomplished through a digital serial interface. BIT
features include:
Per
channel Transmit Signal Strength Indicator (TSSI)
Per
channel Receiver Signal Strength Indicator (RSSI)
Fault
status, VCSEL bias, and temperature
OTDR to
isolate fiber faults (in development)
